Maybe they listened to the 200 economists who say the stimulus plan is bad (http://www.openmarket.org/2009/01/27/fiscal-reality-check/)?

Unanimous opposition, but no filibuster. Hmmm, we DO have a certain amount of experience with Politicos and Bad Guys letting chowderheads do their dirty work for them.

Pigs will fly LONG before Ron votes for a bailout. In fact, perhaps we should make a list of things that will happen before RP votes for a multibillion dollar "stimulus"

-openly transexual president
-Rudy Giuliani converts to Islam
-Richard Dawkins becomes Pope
-Bush admits there were no WMDs in Iraq
-Al Gore says that global warming was something he came up with while high
I'm out for now but feel free to add more

Dog and pony show and purely political. They only take a stand when IT DOESN"T MATTER. Bush and Rep congress took this country further into debt than Barack Obama could even dream of. If McCain was in power, he would be pimping an even bigger socialist package of bailing out mortgages from people who made poor decisions, and the debate would be about how much they should get, not on the principle.
I'm more interested in what they do when they are in power, instead of on the sidelines heckling. They are simply trying to buy some political credibility while they are locked in their cages, expecting us to throw them a few bones.

how much money are they trying to give each individual?

Don't you mean 'TAKE' from each individual?

please NOTE:

The Stimulus Bill... ONLY spends 41% of the $1 TRILLION (yes it will increase) in the next 2 years.

In such a rush, to only spend 40% over the next 24 months... this is giving even more of an appearance of "Prepping the ORACLE of OPTIMISM" for reelection.

Seems anytime the US government wants to rush anything through in spending, they are hiding plenty.

GOP/RNC join Ron Paul in Opposing Big Government wasteful cronie spending!

What this guy says.

Although it's still more fascist than socialist.

What this guy says.

Although it's still more fascist than socialist.

You are correct, economic socialism is fascism. Democrats now call it "progressive", and Repubs call it "socialist", when it is fascism. Fascism's roots are in socialism. Fascism and socialism are so similar, that I often interchange the words.

I wonder if this is the first time the GOP has ever voted unanimously with Ron Paul? Does anybody know for certain. I'd be curious if there was any other legislation in which this phenomena occurred.
