"Government can not inject a single dollar into the economy, that is has not first taken out..."

"When in the history of civilization has such bailouts actually worked?..."

pretty good stuff.

About the other half of the TARP funds.

Did Ron Paul endorse him?

Edit: Nevermind, I found the answer:

Too bad Tom endorsed Fred Thompson in the primaries.

You don't remember? Ron Paul sent out a mass email to donate to BJ Lawson's campaign, then McClintock's about a week after. Anyway, McClintock barely won. Oh and McClintock (as well as Lawson) had a video play during the rally in MN. And Terra Eclipse did McClintock's site too :p

I think I'm going to call his office and thank him for his opposition to the stimulus package:

District Office
4230 Douglas Blvd. Suite 200
Granite Bay, CA 95746

I can understand the Iraq one though. Many candidates want to draw-down the presence before the exit. He doesn't seem like a war-monger, although time will tell.

I just wish he could have gotten on the budget committee too. Hopefully he will in time, b/c a three-man tag team in there would have been epic.

I just spoke with his secretary who sounded young and was very polite. I told her to thank Mr. McClintock for his vote against the stimulus and offered the suggestion of him supporting a bill to audit the Federal Reserve System. The idea of auditing the Fed sounded very interesting to her and she said she'd pass along the idea!

Who are the other two?

Endorsing Fred is unacceptable. Is McClintock also pro-war?

He's for stealing your money to pay for more deaths in Iraq. There's no other way to slice it. Any human being worth his salt would NEVER fund the the insane war. McClintock is certainly no libertarian.

He endorsed Thompson but then Paul after Fred dropped out. Man, were you guys not around back then or something? We've discussed this a lot. :P

He has never taken an official stand on the Iraq War that I know of.

Paul and Grayson. Although I don't think they are in the same sub-committee.

Grayson has made many statements about the Federal Reserve, and grilled Bernanke too.

Say what you want about McClintock and his foreign policy ideas, but this guy is leaps and bounds better than 98% of Congress. Real solid progress (albeit non-violent) doesn't happen in one election cycle, it happens in multiple cycles.

Careful on this forum mentioning anyone other than Ron Paul as being cool or doing the right thing will get you flamed :)
