It really is not very difficult to figure out that one of the major causes which has helped to shut down America’s businesses, industries, and burdens those wanting to trade their labor for a wage, is excessive regulation imposed by our federal government! Many of these regulations, particularly in manufacturing, have made it almost impossible, if not impossible, for America’s businesses and industries to compete with foreign competition, and, to continue in business these businesses have moved their manufacturing facilities to other countries and left our nation’s unemployment figures and stagnation on a steady increase. But let us explore some specific ways in which our federal government has caused our current economic crisis, which if addressed and remedied, would immediately unleash America’s productivity which has been put in a straightjacket by folks in government.
TAX REFORM
Under Congress’s current method of raising a federal revenue, billions of dollars and millions of productive man hours are robbed from America’s productiveness and wasted to simply collect necessary revenue to fund our federal government’s functions. And what did one of our Nation’s founding fathers say during our nation’s first revenue raising act?
“…a national revenue must be obtained; but the system must be such a one, that, while it secures the object of revenue it shall not be oppressive to our constituents.”___ ___Madison, during the creation of our Nation’s first revenue raising Act (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/cgi-bin/ampage?collId=llac&fileName=001/llac001.db&recNum=55)
The act went on to tax specifically chosen articles of consumption and not one dime was raised by taxing the wages of labor, the earnings of business, or did it tax the returns on invested capital ___ all of which contributed enormously to America becoming the economic marvel of the world! We need to get back to our founding father’s original tax plan, and that can be done by adding the following words to our Constitution:
The Sixteenth Amendment is hereby repealed and Congress is henceforth forbidden to lay ``any`` tax or burden calculated from profits, gains, interest, salaries, wages, tips, inheritances or any other lawfully realized money
Just this one stimulant would “stimulate” the economy beyond imagination and have foreigners fighting each other to “invest” in America! Of course, our control freaks in Congress would loose their iron fisted management over the American People including those who now labor for a wage and would instantaneous find their economic circumstances improved with a paycheck untaxed by the federal government, allowing them to exercise their economic liberty without being taxed into dependency upon government by a federal tax which steals the bread they have earned.
FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE
The federal minimum wage is nothing more than a gimmick to buy votes during federal elections and results in the loss of jobs and increases the costs of business on American soil. If a particular state wants to experiment with a minimum wage law of their own that is fine, so long as adjoining states are left free of such impositions which in turn allows the market place and competition between the states to settle the issue of a competitive fair market wage. Removing federal minimum wage laws would immediately improve businesses on American soil, allow businesses to hire unskilled workers as “trainees” with appropriate wages, and help America to be more competitive, especially in manufacturing industries in which there are always unskilled workers needed who can be hired, trained, and then move up the economic ladder.
OSHA’S STUPID REGULATIONS
We don’t have to look very hard under OSHA’S regulations to find some of the most stupid regulations ever imagined, many of which undermine America’s competitiveness and have helped to cause a shutdown of America‘s businesses and industries and have encouraged many to leave America. As an example, the latest federal government’s bureaucratic fad to cripple America’s productivity is called “Ergonomics”, an alleged science by which folks in government may dictate how a worker may put the chocolate filling in cupcakes; place two cookies in a paper cup for packaging and distribution; prohibiting workers from repeatedly pinching small paper clips, or even twisting their necks in a way that would cradle a telephone receiver.
Closing down OSHA and having the various state Legislatures regulate their own internal affairs as commanded by our Constitution’s Tenth Amendment would go a very long way toward reviving America’s international competitiveness which begins with federalism, our constitution’s plan, and each state competing with each other which, when practiced, led to America’s original healthy competitive environment and America becoming the most productive nation on the face of the planet. One-size-fits-all has never worked and never will and is odious to a freedom loving society. We need to return to our founding father’s original instructions:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.
The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.” ___ FEDERALIST NO 45
OUR FEDERAL RESERVE BANKING SWINDLE
One of our founding fathers most important objects when framing our Constitution was to insure an honest money system and prohibit banking institutions, such as our existing and privately owned federal reserve banks, from circulating their notes as a government approved “legal tender”. As a matter of fact, our founding fathers also voted during the Constitutional Convention to prohibit government notes to be made a “legal tender”, and they did so because of countless paper money swindles then being carried out by bankers, including those in which government power was used to make bank notes a legal tender. Today, the federal reserve banking con artists are again swindling the American people and they do so with a fractional reserve banking scheme.
Fractional reserve banking in easily understood language is a fraudulent practice by which banks are allowed by government to lend out more money then they have in reserve, and then collect interest on the money they have loaned out which they never had in reserve in the first place! They do this by creating an account with bookkeeping entries for the amount of money being loaned out, and once the account is entered on the books, the recipient of the loan may writes checks on that account. Keep in mind that real cash money is never created under this banking scheme because there are only bookkeeping entries which represent the “money” loaned out, and so, there is no visual inflation of the currency which would occur if new money was created for each loan. However, this fractional reserve credit system leads to unbridled speculation and a vast increase in banking transactions, including large cash withdrawals used in speculative ventures which eventually cleans out the bank’s cash reserves ___ reserves which cannot keep up with the speculation created by the fraudulent fractional reserve credit system.
In any event, if President Obama, or for that matter the Republican Party Leadership, were really sincere in wanting to stimulate America’s productive base, they would start by addressing the above mentioned complaints, none of which would exist if the legislative intent of our written Constitution were abided by.
Where is our Republican Party Leadership when we need them? Why are they brown nosing with domestic enemies of our written Constitution?
