Tony Benn keeps mention 1,300 people dead in Gaza. There's more than 1.5 million dead Christians in Africa by the hands of Muslims, and only the Christian media reports on it.

This seems to be getting disproportionate press.

Probably because of America and Britain's very direct influence on the Gaza conflict. The Sri Lanka/Tamil Tigers conflict has been raging at the same time as the offensive on Gaza and might've needed more attention if it weren't for the sheer amount of civilian casualties involved in Gaza. But still, Sri Lanka is being largely ignored.
