From Ballot Access News (http://www.ballot-access.org/2009/01/26/national-popular-vote-plan-bill-has-maine-hearing/):

The National Popular Vote Plan bill has a hearing in the Maine joint Legal and Veterans Affairs Committee on Wednesday, January 28, at 1 pm in Room 437 of the State House. The bill is LD 56.
If you don't know what this means, when they get a majority of the electoral votes the electoral college is subverted and we directly elect the president based on popular vote. If you oppose this bill, this would be a good time to say something.
