During the age of the American enlightment, science served mankind by deeming him and her as universal in perspective -- with their earth residing at the center of the universe for example. Taking this perspective a step further, our Founding-Fathers reduced mankind's universal importance to a political purpose that was uniquely existential for its time. No longer was being human enough, but being content as a human being became the new universal purpose.

Our Founding-Fathers perceived a deception which had throughout history found good reason for tyranny to place the burden of responsibility and equality over the value of contentment. This empowered the traditions of legal precedence, the vehicle made up of principalities and powers, over the greater power of Civil-Purpose, the common existential purpose desired by every human soul.

This new American simplicity has always reacted violently with the complex culture most of us inherited, secularly speaking, from our European ancestors.
