Excellent interview of John Dean on Bloomberg

They turned to the candidates right after I posted. The host (Mike Sullivan) asked Dean about the candidates. Dean said Rudy is the "scare the pants off of you" "Mr. 911" candidate. He said very negative things about Rudy. Sullivan asked which candidate was the least authoritarian, and Dean said "OTHER THAN RON PAUL, WHO WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT " and Sullivan stopped him. Sullivan said Ron Paul is libertarian, and they had a brief convo about that RP was a Libertarian candidate before he went GOP.

Dean proceeded to say that Fred Thompson is the least authoritarian of the front runners. :eek:

Great interview and discussion of the current administration, how the GOP has changed into ... the mess it is today.

Disappointing that Dean would smirk and say RP won't win, but as soon as he touted FT, it became clear that Dean's just using his book tour to stump for Fred. He said he knows FT personally, has known him for years, etc etc.
