Why is it that when I click on this thread, I get an Active X installation warning, even without clicking on the link (which I did not do)? Never seen that happen before on this board which is why I refuse to click on the link, let alone give permission for whatever Active X is trying to install on my comp.

Who are you? A government spook? o.O

I wonder what's up with that. Been on this board a long time now and never seen this type of stuff happen before.

I really have no idea. Maybe a google ad?

Possibly a virus on your computer? Unless multiple people start reporting this I'm going to have to say it is something on your end or a google ad.

Bryan and I are the only ones with access to the server and we have not installed anything that would cause it.

You're not getting the browser warning yourself? It's wierd because I've clicked on a few other threads on the front page and those two are the only two that this happens with.

Don't see how it could be my comp. I'm well protected and recently installed a new motherboard so I had to reformat, and when doing so made sure that I installed all my protection properly.

Oh well. Let's see if other people get the same thing.

Nope, no warnings here.

Are the same google ads pulling up for you on both threads?

The threads are all the same code, just different words for content.

Maybe something on your browser is picking up a keyword?

No idea, sorry...

If Bryan or I tried something sneaky we'd get our butts and reputations spanked by the techies in the community here.

Wish I had more info to give you. :o

Oh I see the problem. You're using Windows. You should try the OS X upgrade, it's sweet.

Click on it and give us more info. It will tell what kind of ActiveX is being activated. Post it here.
