Repugs are outnumbered about 30 to 20.

They have 2 Dem allies.

Every amendment for accountability, oversight and PAYGO has been shot down.

The speaker is especially rabid about throwing money around so that it can't be accounted for.

Speaking of which, the nomination for Treasury - aside from cheating on his taxes for 4 years, has this slight problem of being the author of TARP1. You know - throw major bucks at select mega banks with no accountability and keeping who got funds secret? - yeah - they asked about that (almost as an aside - it was included in a list of questions...) He said he would respond to that in writing and the committee LET HIM!

Then we come to this former Monsonto Big Wig that is up to lead the USDA... I've been looking, but have not seen any of his conformation hearing broadcast - has anyone?

It got heated at one point between wolf and the chairman. Also, it was nice to hear some of the republicans worried about spending money they don't have.

I wouldn't be shocked if a former monsanto big whig heads the USDA.
