im not totally sure of the exact date, but i got involved in this campaign almost 2 years ago so i would safely assume that it was in the works for him to announce it about 2 years ago as well

doesn't seem like that long huh?

Ron Paul is a small l libertarian, there's no problem with Trebec pointing it out. I personally try to use the word "Constitutionalist" or something with a more positive connotation. To the uneducated, hearing him described as a libertarian might make them think all he cares about is everyone's right to smoke pot.

I remember seeing his exploratory committee around this time 2 years ago. And generally, that means someone is going to be a candidate. I can't remember many candidates who formed an exploratory committee and then decided NOT to run

Makes me mad that this is a $1000 question. If the media had done their job it would be a $200 question.

"Ron Paul of course" hehe

I've heard Ron Paul been brought up before on that show. It was about also-rans during this election cycle. The question went like: "this person first ran for president as the libertarian candidate in 88." The person who got that question also answered it correctly. But this time it was a daily double, w00t.

Indeed. It would have been awesome if she said, "Actually, Alex, before I make the next selection, I should point out that he ran as a Republican. Please don't mislead our viewers."

However, I did come across this funny jeopardy clip..YouTube - What is a hoe? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKA0K7bf7Rc)
