IVAW is asking for some help with this...

Iraq Veterans Against the War placed it's first major network television commercial today on NBC, just after Obama was sworn into office. Although I personally had nothing to do with the add, members from across the country put together a huge effort to get this 30 second TV spot in major metropolitan areas.

TV is expensive, and the internet is free (for now).

So here's how you can help extend the life of this add. Please post it to your profile on facebook, myspace, and any other on-line community that you possibly can. Please do this NOW! If it gets enough hits on youtube in a short amount of time, it can end up on the front page. Go free advertising!!

Digg it here: http://digg.com/politics/Iraq_Veterans_Against_the_War_End_the_War_Now

Thanks to all supporters!

Looks like the work of Frankdogg who did the "Ron Paul Is" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8mMTa79Uzc) ad.

Are they collecting money to air this on cable networks or is this just just limited to being a youtube hit? I would donate, even though I don't expect Barack to do anything.

It would at least help to spread awareness to other Iraq war active duty/veterans that 'they are not alone.'

P.S. Flobots music, FTW.

All they are asking is to pump the view counts/diggs and give the ad some viral legs. They already raised the funds and showed the ad, now they are just trying to milk it dry.

Sadly I have no faith in the CFL doing anything. Just like the presidential campaign, WE the Grassroots will have to step up.

That is such an amazing ad. C4L should be doing stuff like this. I want to know why they're not.

Because they have hired, or recruited a completely incompetent video production staff.

I'm a huge amateur when it comes to video editing and production, but even I have 10x the skill of their video team.

If Ron runs in 2012, i say the grassroots take advertising into our own hands!

Great question. Imagine if the C4L made a quality ad, put it on there site and held a fundraiser/moneybomb/whatever you call it and told us it will go on national TV. Gave us goals, showing what channels and timeslots we could expect for amount raised.

That is what I hoped the C4L would hav been. A gathering of new, fresh minds that made the Ron Paul campaign take off online.

Something dealing with being against the bailouts, against the war, against the patriot act, for less govt, all the big ones that makes our views stand in stark contrast to the rest of Washington.
