Okay, I do not like all this Obama worship, and I cannot stand all this Obama hate, but I have a question.

Since when does one person's followers get to be above the law?

Not rich people. Not famous people. Not politicians. Normal people, who under normal circumstances would be under the jail.

Is it because of the reasoning behind it that no one cares?

I even brought it up on TeamSarah.org. The republicans would rather bitch about what "is going to happen" under Obama as POTUS than actually care about what IS happening now. WHY?

US Flag Code clearly states:

“The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.”

Someone explain this, and please refrain form concluding it is because of a reason that is completely biased one way or another. Just be as honest as you can, and try to be factual, if at all possible.

Republicans have been wrapping themselves in the flag since time immemorial. They've used the Stars & Stripes to cover up a lot of smelly stuff. But at least even the most crooked neocon with the least actual respect for anything or anyone shows some respect for the flag.

American Flag Etiquette.

Federal law stipulates many aspects of flag etiquette. The section of law dealing with American Flag etiquette is generally referred to as the Flag Code. Some general guidelines from the Flag Code answer many of the most common questions:

The flag should be lighted at all times, either by sunlight or by an appropriate light source.

The flag should be flown in fair weather, unless the flag is designed for inclement weather use.

The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing. It is flown upside down only as a distress signal.

The flag should not be used for any decoration in general. Bunting of blue, white and red stripes is available for these purposes. The blue stripe of the bunting should be on the top.

The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard.
The flag should not be used as part of a costume or athletic uniform, except that a flag patch may be used on the uniform of military personnel, fireman, policeman and members of patriotic organizations.

The flag should never have any mark, insignia, letter, word, number, figure, or drawing of any kind placed on it, or attached to it.

The flag should never be used for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything.

When the flag is lowered, no part of it should touch the ground or any other object; it should be received by waiting hands and arms. To store the flag it should be folded neatly and ceremoniously.

The flag should be cleaned and mended when necessary.
When a flag is so worn it is no longer fit to serve as a symbol of our country, it should be destroyed by burning in a dignified manner.

Read a more comprehensive set of flagetiquette rules for display of the American Flag (http://www.usa-flag-site.org/etiquette-display.shtml).

Its really called etiquetts so I guess it isnt "Law" really.
Certainly bad taste.
I wouldnt stick Ron Pauls mug on a flag. I would rather create my own banner.
But that's me.

Flag stands for liberty. As a symbol, symbolic speech is appropriate. They may wrap effigies of GWB in the flag and burn it for all I care.

Well, I don't even fly the American flag, nor do I own anything with it on it...but I am just curious, ya know?

Funny thing is alot of people blame the flag I fly for racism, claiming that racist marched under it, and that a bloody war was fought under it.

How many wars have been fought under the American flag?

Oddly enough, we claimed this flag when seceding.

And, as for racism, how does this work?

These are not the southern drunk boys pretending to be big and bad kkk members..no, this was the real deal. Marching across Washington, released pics, the whole nine yards.

In your opinion, does this flag deserve any more respect than any other? Should this be our courty's flag, or is this offensive to you?

we all know they're just happy-happiests :P Ok, joke aside that probably no one will get.

originally that character didn't have a pom-pom on the tip, and it had "HH" on the hat....when the game was localized for American audiences, the "HH" was removed and the pom-pom was added...presumably because they so closely resembled Klansman.
