View Full Version : Perhaps a tiny bit of moderator filtering needed

As I see more and more spam appear, is there a way to have new members postings filtered and approved through the moderator directly. I realize this might cause too much of a burden on the moderators, but it would eliminate the spammage.

Thanks!

I wouldn't recommend that...too much work and it will make this forum unappealing

Would it be burdensome to make a userId's first "New Thread" post be approved? This should take care of most of the spam.

it would be more burdensome then just ignoring the spam...

Onething I was trying to prevent is newbie RP supporters seeing all the clutter. It's hard enough to filter through all the threads without the extra spam (and yes I do use the New Posts button) :)

The report button is the easiest way to go.

This forum is so *busy,* that the spam would quickly fall off the bottom of the page... IF NO ONE WOULD RESPOND TO IT. But, every time a well-meaning person responds to a spamthread announcing "spam" or "where are the mods" or something to that nature... guess what happens... it gets taken right back to the top :(

Ok, no more spam commenting from me, lol.
