I am actually making some headway with a friend of mine who I have been working on for literally a decade. I got him to watch "Debt as Money" and we were talking about monetary inflation vs price inflation. I told him that Clinton switched the way inflation was measured from M3 to CPI. He tried to find something about it on the net and came up empty. I did some searches and couldn't find anything either. Can anyone find me a link to a credible source (someone's blog probably wouldn't cut it) that Clinton made the change, or at least taht it changed during Bill's presidency?

Any help appreciated.

I have no problem telling him I was wrong, so if I am, please straighten me out.

Here's a primer about the CPI from John Williams (http://www.shadowstats.com/). It's a good place to start. http://www.shadowstats.com/article/56
