And how well does it stack up against this?

"The duty of the Justice Department is to defend statutes that have been passed by Congress," Holder told Sen. Orin Hatch (R-Utah), who asked whether the Obama administration would continue the legal fight to uphold the legislation that the Electronic Frontier Foundation is seeking to overturn.

Oh really!?

I thought it was the job of the Justice Department to stand up to Congress and the Executive Branch and make sure they're not violating the civil liberties of citizens.

Apparently, Mr. Holder doesn't agree. He'd rather rubber stamp whatever the Congress does.

The Judiciary Branch doesn't have jurisdiction over Statutory laws.

Common Law, Equity Law, Admiralty Law. These are the laws the judicial branch has jurisdiction over.

Hearing cases dealing with Statutory Law is NOT a power granted to them in the Constitution.

"..I would be honored to serve under your administration."

Has he used that exact phrasing for both? :)
