Following on the heels of my discussion with Lew Moores assistant this morning, I took the opportunity to ask some questions and offer some suggestions (she had a few for us as well. I'll get to that in another thread.
What I suggested was that it would be helpful/beneficial, if we had communication from the campaign about what it is up to. She mentioned how the campaign is exploding and alot of the people are new, etc... etc...
All very understandable, but they are as acutely aware of the short time we have to get RP victories in the early primary states. Anyway, she mentioned Don Rasmussen, who (apparently) is a prolific blogger. I have his blog address. Here it is:
http://freemansburden.blogspot.com/
It's called the Free Mans Burden. Looks pretty good. Lots of stuff about Ron Paul there.
She also gave me his email address. I am going to email him immediately following this post and ask him to do exactly what I suggested to her - take his writing skills and his blogging skills and "blog" to the forums and to the global meetup message board.
So, check out the blog. I'm off to send an email. :D

This is the email I sent:

Hi, Don

I just got off the phone with Debbie Hopper and during the course of our conversation I had suggested that it would really do wonders for the morale of the grassroots people if we were to get some information from the campaign so that we could know what the campaign is doing with our money. She immediately mentioned that you are a blogger (I checked your blog - very nice) and that you would be the person to speak to. So...
I'm asking you if you will please do that for us. Give us some insights into the campaign, let us know some of the unclassified stuff they are doing to promote Ron Paul in the early primary states. Stuff like that. I realize that not everything can be revealed as you don't want the competition getting a competitive advantage but it would really help morale and help to energize us, if we knew SOMETHING. Know what I mean?
So, will you do this?

Thanks for your time,

Bob Larkin
