Like him or not, I wish he were on our side. Then Ron Paul would've won the Presidency. Other than MSM, Dean was probably most responsible for Obama's victory. Obama showed his thanks by not letting Dean work in the Obama administration, nor letting him personally hand over his position to Kaine.

Could you explain how he was probably the most responsible for Obama's victory?

He was largely responsible for developing the internet / grassroots networking system that Obama's team capitalized on.

I do not follow Democratic politics - why did Dean get ousted? God knows the fundraising was up to snuff.

I get the feeling he is not liked within the upper ranks of his own party.
Conversely, I think Dean shares the same sentiment towards them.
