There is no "man made" global warming. We have had one of the more mild summers in 08' and so far one of the coldest and snowiest winters I remember.

Not too bad in Michigan yet. Still don't need a coat unless I'm out for over an hour.

It's near zero and you don't wear a coat?

Heck no! I'm sticking it to Society by wearing short-sleeved shirts, which makes everyone around me feel like obnoxious assholes for overreacting to the cold and bothering me with their pointless complaints of "I'm cold!" and the like.

A skilled asshole knows how to properly use silence to make an asinine and belittling statement.

We should have had more cold weather than this. Here we stand to lose a lot of fruit due to the trees have leaved out from the month of warm weather. Now suddenly we're getting a cold front and will wipe out the fruit. We already have green figs. I think the South is more sensitive to climate changes than most of the US.

Sounds like something only a douchebag would do.

hehehe ... This latest blast isn't so bad for you folks. At least, you didn't get the arctic air a few weeks ago just before the winter solstice. On Dec 13, 2008 (8 days prior to shortest daylight of year), we went into a deep freeze and didn't recover for more than two weeks. Now, about mid January, you have considerably more daylight than we did. You might be in the deep freeze for a few days, but not likely weeks. In other words, you're lucky at the timing. Be thankful. ;)

Not that I am supporting the alarmists, but climate change/global warming does not simply mean that every season will be hotter throughout the year. Global warming is a poorly chosen term for a process where extremes in temperature will occur (very cold temperatures and very hot temperatures). Additionally, it also suggests that there will be rapid and unpredictable changes in weather (20 degree day followed by a 70 degree day)

I seen it was 7 degrees or something in TX this morning on the weather. I might have to give up TX and move to Mexico to escape the Snow.

I'm hoping my Satsumas will be OK. They are used to a bit of snow since they come from Japan. We did have 6 inches of snow in mid December which hadn't occured since the 80's. A cold front that comes along after the figs leaf out though worries me.

What? The whole world will find out what it's like to live in Oklahoma? Cool. Get ready!

It has finally warmed up to 0 today. All morning it was about -15. It's supposed to get colder tomorrow. The plus side is it's too cold to snow.
