Just got the following in my E-mail. I don't know where it came from. Anyone else get this? can anyone confirm if its legitimate? The "ClearBidding sounds to much like a phishing/malware/spam site I did not click the link or visit the site.

Aloha Patriots, Peaceful Revolutionaries, and Friends,

This Is IndyInAsia writing to you from rural Japan.

I'm writing to ask you to join with Eric Nordstrom, Webmaster of
the Original Ron Paul MoneyBomb, and I, and a growing number of our
Liberty Minded Friends, in some good old-fashioned Free-Market
Capitalism. For two reasons:

1) To put back into your pocket some of the cash the Banksters have
burglarized.

2) To help you take your mind off of all the bad stuff you could
sit around brooding about.

I won't go into details here, except to mention some of the other
Patriots and Peaceful Revolutionaries who are already Capitalizing
on this new Free-Market:

Republic Magazine Founder and Publisher: George Shepherd
Monetary Educators: Nina Ground and Andrew McElroy
Broadcaster, IndyInAsia and Break the Matrix Host: Indy
Liberty Broadcaster and Ron Paul Candidate: Rex Brocki
Revolution Broadcasting (Republic Radio) Founder: Ray Powell
Air Force Sgt, RP and InfoWarsMoneybomb and PyraBang VP: Eric Nordstrom
RPRR, Revolution Radio, and BTM stalwart: Al The News Guy
Ron Paul Chat and PyraBang Founder: Christian Perillo
Ron Paul Delegate and Freedom Videographer: Brandon Gray
YOUR NAME HERE

To put your name there, to get some great deals, to get your
private enterprise cash flow flowing, to join the Party that is
actually partying, don't wait another second.

Mahalo nui loa,

Well I recognize the name IndyInAsia... he was fairly known in the RP communities (maybe still is? idk). He did one of those radio / live video things too, back in the good ol' days.

Of course its a scam, here's why:

"...writing to you from rural Japan."

Are there REALLY any rural Japanese areas?

Yes of course. That's exactly why a scammer would go through the effort of listing recognizable names.

The page is safe, though the information is sparse enough to concern me. It gives only just enough info. to interest you but doesn't tell you how it actually works unless you subscribe to another mailing list. Given that the original email had even less info, and that he purposely entered "I won't go into details here" in the email, AND that he keeps trumpeting his previous doings as security, AND that the website is registered to a PO box (which is generally wise for webmasters), I'm worried about the motives.

However, it is indeed registered to *the* Eric Nordstrom. eric@nordstrom1.com is registered for clearbidding.com, which is also mentioned and listed in whois information for websites listed.

I doubt it's a scam.
