Presented by Rebuild the Party and co-sponsored by YouTube, this RNC Candidates Forum is our last chance to quiz the candidates for RNC Chairman before the vote on January 30th. Here's how it works:

* Submit your questions for the next Chairman via text or YouTube video and vote for the questions you'd like to see asked through January 19th at 11:59pm ET.
* The candidates will then respond to ten of the top questions -- AND any others they'd like -- using YouTube from January 20th through the start of the RNC Meeting on January 28th.

Look at the Crap that's endorsing the "rebuilding the GOP" Inner Circle, Power Grabbing, Corporate Whores!

I think we need to enter through Grassroots and get RP republicans, Libertarians, Constitutionalist, Independents to take GOP seats at every level.

I know that the candidates are neo-con shills and the party establishment is corrupt. However, we need to influence the party any way we can, and this is a really easy way.

In the spirit of openness and transparency, we wanted to lay out a few ground rules for how questions from the Rebuild the Party / YouTube RNC Candidates Forum (http://forum.rebuildtheparty.com/) will be presented to the candidates.

The choice of ten questions will be informed by the votes of the Rebuild the Party community, but to ensure that a broad array of questions are selected, questions from beyond the top 10 vote-getters may be chosen, according to these criteria:



Three questions will deal with the Republican message, three questions with technology and outreach, and four questions with all other aspects of party operations and elections, be it candidate recruitment, grassroots, or state parties. The top vote-getting questions in these categories that meet all the other qualifications will get asked.
Duplicate questions or questions closely related to one another will not be chosen, with the top vote-getter about a particular topic always getting asked.
Questions on matters over which the RNC Chairman has no control, such as those asking whether the candidates would change specific Federal government policies, will not be considered so as to keep the forum as relevant to RNC members and grassroots activists as possible. "Did you support the bailout?" is probably not as good a question as "Would you support candidates who supported the bailout?" Questions that reference specific policy issues will be considered in the "message" category.
Users may report inappropriate questions to administrators, and moderators reserve the right to review and remove such questions at their discretion.
No more than one of the ten questions will reference a given individual.


These ground rules are meant to address a few issues. First, a large group of people, even if they vote organically, is bound to vote up some questions that are very similar to one another, unintentionally depriving the community of the opportunity to ask a question that breaks new ground. We want to ensure a diverse array of questions are asked.

Second, we fully understand that there will be attempts by outside groups to massively vote up certain questions. If their question is relevant to the RNC Chairman's job, these rules ensure that they may be successful in getting one or two questions asked -- but not all ten. If their question is not relevant to the RNC Chairman's job, they won't even get one question. These ground rules are designed to promote organic community participation, and not the takeover of the forum by outside groups.
