I am on winter break and decided to tabulate the number of votes Ron Paul receives in California in the 2008 General Election
Many of California's counties are only reporting generic "write-in" numbers, which makes it impossible to say with certainty how many votes Ron Paul received, although he seemed to come in between .02%-.04% of the vote. The numbers slightly varied from county to county, and indeed at times Paul out polled Bob Barr.
Here are the county by county totals that report directly on Ron Paul:
Alameda-513
Fresno- 283
Humboldt- 203
Lassen- 35
Monterrey- 150
Nevada- 197
Orange- 3,118
Riverside- 776
San Bernardino- 726
San Diego- 2232
San Francisco- 398
San Mateo- 388
Shasta- 148
Solano- 126
Stanislaus- 175
Yolo- 54
Total- 9,522
I wish I had the real data of other counties, but based on these numbers, I suspect Ron Paul received atleast 30,000 votes.
