Thank God Voinovich is retiring. I hope there is a good liberty candidate considering a run for Voinovich's seat.

What do we know about Rob Portman? The local news is playing like he's already won.

Portman is a lock on the GOP senate nomination. If Portman wins the Senate race, he will be instant contender for 2012 GOP nomination for President. The Bush wing of the GOP really like him, and he was supposedly Bush's choice for McCain. But since he is a fiscal conservative, he reminds me more of George HW Bush instead of the current president.

Huh?

It is called Gerrymandering it is where you sets up a Congressional district that is mad up of voters in a party like in the 7th Congressional district is mostly Republican. Like Congressman K. his district is mostly Dem that is why Congressman K. can not win a State wide election.

No Congressman Portman is not a Necon. He has voted on many things and all of them he voted Conservative.

Voted Ron Paul in the GOP primary

Is there any record of this?

My understanding was that Portman was bought by Carl Lindner a long time ago.

Wonder why the current President Bush likes him so much?
