Let's get to the heart of things:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been inundated with so many emails and phone calls about our project to take over a County and elect our own Constitutional Sheriff. Please give me a break, I will try to answer all your questions here and now.

No I am not the only one making the decisions, we have a very smart group that is working on this.

We have been researching all aspects of the place, water, soil, power, location, accessability to shcools, commerce etc.

Yes we know the laws, they have been researched.

No we are not going into the county with the attitude of taking over, we are going to settle and get to know the people, we will be adding to the economy of the area not restricting it. No one is going to forcefully oust the Sheriff, there will be a election and with our numbers we can more or less do what the Republicans and Democrats have done for years, elect our Candidate..The only difference is we won't have to cheat on the count.

We will be working to become vital in the community, getting involved in the running of the county, and of course campaigning for our candidate who luckily is a well known person of integrity and knowledge of the Constitution.

Yes we are screening people who will be moving with us, we want to know who they are and what their thoughts are on how we will be living. We do not want a bunch of hot heads, we do not want to instigate any problems with the population or the government. We want family people who are dedicated to a better life for their children and interested in building that future thus making a example to others as to what can be done and accomplished when people work together under the LAW and following the Constitution.

Everyone that is accepted will be part of the screening process, they will have just as much imput as anyone else. We are not screening using any religious, race or political beliefs, just what each has to offer to the program in their own way. We are not in any way trying to promote any religion or idealogy. Diversity is going to be our motto.

Keeping the location secret? Yes as you are all aware there are many that would love to throw a monkey Wrench into this project whether they are simply looking for attention, jealous, or just those that like to stir up problems for others for entertainment. There are also some that would do this as they are under the false belief that they are being patriotic and protecting the All Caring Government of this country. So the location will not be put out publicly until we are well established and our project is well on it's way to success.

Here is some of the information we have found on the Power of a

"County Sheriff":

Bighorn County Sheriff Dave Mattis spoke at a press conference following a recent U.S. District Court decision (Case No. 2:96-cv-099-J (2006)) and announced that all federal officials are forbidden to enter his county without his prior approval ...... "If a sheriff doesn't want the Feds in his county he has the constitutional right and power to keep them out, or ask them to leave, or retain them in custody."

The court decision was the result of a suit against both the BATF and the IRS by Mattis and other members of the Wyoming Sheriff's Association. The suit in the Wyoming federal court district sought restoration of the protections enshrined in the United States Constitution and the Wyoming Constitution.

Guess what? The District Court ruled in favor of the sheriffs. In fact, they stated, Wyoming is a sovereign state and the duly elected sheriff of a county is the highest law enforcement official within a county and has law enforcement powers exceeding that of any other state or federal official."

Re-read this quote.

The court confirms and asserts that "the duly elected sheriff of a county is the highest law enforcement official within a county and has law enforcement powers EXCEEDING that of any other state OR federal official."

And you thought the 10th Amendment was dead and buried — not in Wyoming, not yet. But it gets even better. Since the judge stated that the sheriff "has law enforcement powers EXCEEDING that of any other state OR federal official," the Wyoming sheriffs are flexing their muscles. They are demanding access to all BATF files. Why? So as to verify that the agency is not violating provisions of Wyoming law that prohibits the registration of firearms or the keeping of a registry of firearm owners. This would be wrong.

The sheriffs are also demanding that federal agencies immediately cease the seizure of private property and the impoundment of private bank accounts without regard to due process in Wyoming state courts.

Gosh, it makes one wish that the sheriffs of the counties relative to Waco, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma regarding their jurisdictions were drinking the same water these Wyoming sheriffs are. Sheriff Mattis said, "I am reacting in response to the actions of federal employees who have attempted to deprive citizens of my county of their privacy, their liberty, and their property without regard to constitutional safeguards. I hope that more sheriffs all across America will join us in protecting their citizens from the illegal activities of the IRS, EPA, BATF, FBI, or any other federal agency that is operating outside the confines of constitutional law.

Employees of the IRS and the EPA are no longer welcome in Bighorn County unless they intend to operate in conformance to constitutional law." [Amen].

Sheriffs have enormous power, if or when they choose to use it. I share the hope of Sheriff Mattis that "more sheriffs all across America will join us in protecting their citizens." If Wyoming Sheriffs can follow in the steps of former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack and recognize both their power and authority, they could become champions for the memory of Thomas Jefferson who died thinking that he had won those "states' rights" debates with Alexander Hamilton.

This case is not just some amusing mountain melodrama. This is a BIG deal. This case is yet further evidence that the 10th Amendment is not yet totally dead, or in a complete decay in the United States. It is also significant in that it can, may, and hopefully will be interpreted to mean that "political subdivisions of a State are included within the meaning of the amendment, or that the powers exercised by a sheriff are an extension of those common law powers which the 10th Amendment explicitly reserves to the People, if they are not granted to the federal government or specifically prohibited to the States."

I know people are tired of hearing to be prepared but do not let yourself and your family be caught without enough food and supplies to at least last a few months. Food will be the means of enslavement. If you have no access to food for your family you will be forced to obey and submit to just about any thing. It is not hard to put in a supply. In fact it is just common sense, food prices have already started going up and won't stop. What ever you buy now will cost you double in a few months if it is even available.

Canning is easy and is so much better for your family than store canned goods and is so much cheaper. Dry storage items are so easy to handle. Get some storage boxes, buy large qunatities of beans, flour, sugar, salt, milk, etc and divide them into smaller bags you can vacumn seal. These items will last a long long time and still be good to eat.

Please think about this and get busy, instead of going to a movie, out to dinner, buying new clothes put that money into food and storage.

Wow! That court ruling is great news!

Except for one minor point: it never actually happened.

This article is a statement issued by Wyoming District Court
explaining the dismissal of the case. Basically, they side-stepped
the whole issue of who rules--county sheriff or feds. There has been
a lot of mistatement, misunderstanding, & phony baloney re this
case. The sheriff himself stated about 95% of what is reported on
internet is incorrect.

Case Notes:

Case: Castaneda v. USA

Filed: 10th May 1996

Closed: 29th April 1997

Case No: 2:1996cv00099 Wyoming District Court, Casper

Nature of Suit: Civil Rights

[link to www.ck10.uscourts.gov]

United States District Court

District of Wyoming

Our office has been receiving inquiries regarding the case of
Castaneda v. United

States, No. 96-CV-099.

This was a civil case arising out of an alleged entry into an
apartment by law

enforcement officials in June of 1993. The Plaintiffs, who were
staying in the apartment,

alleged that the officials violated their civil rights. They filed
an action against the United

States, unnamed INS agents, Big Horn County, the County Sheriff, and
unnamed

Sheriff's deputies.

The complaint was filed in the Federal District Court for the
District of Wyoming in May,

1996. The federal defendants were primarily represented by attorneys
with the

Constitutional Torts Branch of the Civil Division of the Department
of Justice. The

County defendants were represented by non-federal attorneys. The
case was settled

following a settlement conference in 1997. The court did not rule on
Plaintiffs' claims or

any other legal issues in the case. After the settlement conference,
Big Horn County

Sheriff, David M. Mattis, issued a "Policy." In the "Policy," the
Sheriff purports to impose

conditions upon federal law enforcement operations in the County.

We have learned that it has been reported, erroneously, that the
court made a legal

ruling in the Castaneda case regarding the authority of federal law
enforcement officials

to conduct operations in the County. There was no such ruling or
decision. Instead, the

court simply granted a motion, submitted jointly by all the parties,
to dismiss the case

because the parties had settled.

This Court has never issued an order which would serve to limit the
lawful activities and

duties of federal law enforcement officers and other federal
employees in the District of

Wyoming.

Furthermore, this Court has never made the comments attributed to it
which purports to

advise state officers they can prohibit federal law enforcement
officers or agents from

entering a Wyoming County. Those alleged quotations are utterly
false.

Any person who interferes with federal officers in performance of
their duties subjects

themselves to the risk of criminal prosecution.
