After spending years hearing these arrogant folk crack jokes at Midwesterners, let me just say this to all of you recession-infested states:
"LOL."
There. Now I feel better. Enjoy your recession while I make love to my cow and enjoy my ethanol subsidies.

I love it!
It shows the Socialists states, with ultra high government salaries and retirement perks to die for...
I just read a Fire Chief opening for $150K, full benefits, kitchen benefits and everything on retirement. Oh, and OT if you wish to make even more money.
Not bad to sit around a majority of the time!
Hey, where's California and their new IOU program...

Employees receive lower wages as a consequence of unemployment tax. Therefore employees do pay unemployment tax.

Michigan is fucked beyond the point of return. The government can't sustain itself, even when taxes are out of control, Detroit (where houses are sold for less than the annual property tax) ought to be renamed Exodus, and public services are grossly underfunded. The state will make W. Va. look prosperous once the automotive industry collapses.
