Guys,

I totally support Matt Collins efforts on this. Here's why:

For several years, I was in a leadership position with the states Libertarian Party. I can tell you it's nice to be pure, ideological, monks living in the desert, but it doesn't do all that much to change current events.

We don't have to compromise a thing. What we need here is a show of force to let them know we are active. Some smarter one's in the GOP have realized that they can't win consistently or big without the RP Republicans.

Conversely, at some point, candidates for for various offices may emerge from our ranks that we CAN support 100%. I desipse how RP was treated in the primaries, yet the local GOP has extended the hand of opportunity here. We don't need the local GOP adamately opposed to our candidates when the time comes.

This may sound strange comming from an RP Republican/libertarian, but we need to become Leninists.

Lenin's thought was that every communists goal above all should be to GAIN POWER. Of course, in our case it's the idea of gaining political power to absolve political power.

Without compromise, but with relationships and vehicles is how we can do that.

I will do what I can to be there and hope you all do as well.

Likely about an hour or two of my time. I've been at this for 20 years, having debating societies has long since past for me. Some of the philosphical arguments have been won. The political battle has not. I haven't worked for these ideas for 20 years to give any of them up.

I don't have to support their candidates, or join, or compromise anything. I just want to show up and encourage others to do the same. I voted for Harry in 96 and 2000, and Baldwin this time plus every other libery type candidate from various parties down the ballot where i knew there was a CFL type and didn't vote for others.

I kinda feel like William Wallace in Braveheart who encouraged his advisors about joining the Nobels to fight Longshanks ..."Joining the Nobels is the only way. You what happens if we don't? Nothing."

Maybe a bad example since Wallace was fooled by the Nobels and killed:) The point being, that having them opposed to us does our cause no good. We have to be smarter than that and begin to practice The Art of War.

I will never JOIN them at heart, but I would like some of them to join us:)

We do indeed need some strange bedfellows. And I really don't know what else we have to offer...
