A new GM limo with 5 inch thick armor has arrived in D.C. for Obama's use. I saw a picture of this thing earlier and it has to be the ugliest car ever designed for a leader. The Secret Service has apparently dubbed this car "the beast" which I find hillarious considering the Obama = Antichrist speculation.

5inch of armor wont protect against a HEAT round, there have been tanks with thicker armor than that and still fall prey to them. An IED will take it out still as those hit the under belly of the vehicle, which is typically really thin. 5in of armor will however stop a medium to long range 50cal rifle shot, which would be the weapon of choice me thinks for such an assassination attempt in a vehicle.
