The video is out there, I saw it earlier, there were 4 men being arrested outside train. One was getting roughed up while being cuffed and one of the cops gun discharged and shot him. Cops both looked at each other as soon as it happened, with the look of wtf...

FYI: Minutes ago I just left the scene on 14th street between broadway and alice. These videos are way behind. I just witnessed young men jumping on cars, smashing windows and store fronts, while dozens of police in riot gear pushed the crowd down the street. Garbage cans were burning and many residents and store owners were trying to get their vehicles out of the area with no luck. I really hope the media caught these late images after things seemed to 'calm down.' The residents of Oakland need to see what happened well after things got started at Madison and 8th, which seems to be the only video currently available.

This event is just disgusting and symbolic of the police state we live in. The cop just fucking shot and killed the guy for NO REASON. I hope that car they burned was a police car. Really makes me angry to see cops murdering innocent people, especially knowing that our rigged justice system will likely let him off.

Recordings of the shooting by witnesses have surfaced and Burris said BART had confiscated numerous cell phone images from others he believes contain additional footage.

I'll bet they're totally pissed that they missed one.

It's like watching people have the wool ripped from their eyes suddenly. They are mad, but they know not what to do. There is one positive thing I saw. All nationalities were walking side by side for a common cause. There is something to be learned from this.

Several cars were burned, and probably a 100 had their windows smashed, along with windows broke in small businesses. As usual, it was a subset of the protestors, but all it takes is a few jerks to ruin the whole thing.
