Will you be attending the Ron Paul/TN Campaign for Liberty training session in Nashville on January 31st?

Dr. Rand Paul will be there; you should be too!

If you are indeed attending please buy your ticket as soon as possible. We need to put a deposit down for the room and are waiting for the funds available to do so. Therefore the quicker you buy your ticket, the easier you will make it for us to give you an excellent day full of knowledge and networking.

A minimum donation ticket of $15 per person can be purchased here:
http://www.sonustickets.com/WebSales/Pages/TicketSearchCriteria.aspx?og=89f881d9-22d3-4b5f-b7e3-549dc5c82b44&evtinfo=12922~baca590f-38e2-4f5b-bfac-3b37c4a6947a& (http://www.sonustickets.com/WebSales/Pages/TicketSearchCriteria.aspx?og=89f881d9-22d3-4b5f-b7e3-549dc5c82b44&evtinfo=12922%7Ebaca590f-38e2-4f5b-bfac-3b37c4a6947a&)

Or simply go to http://www.sonustickets.com/ and click the link on the front page.

If you decide not to buy tickets and just show up, the cost will be a minimum donation of $25 at the door. Please be clear that no one is making money off of this event, we are not fund raising, but the room must be rented (which costs about $800)

This is shaping up to be a fantastic event. The first part of the day will be a Tennessee legislative training session hosted by Katie Moyer and Norm Davis of their organization "Take Back Kentucky". Everything they teach will be Tennessee specific. Following the training session will be an organizational meeting for Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. And then the evening will conclude with Dr. Rand Paul, (Ron's son) giving the keynote address. I am really looking forward to it!

Read what Katie Moyer says about the training session:
____________________

"We have all learned during the last year (or more) that by simply organizing one meeting, we can accomplish much in politics. This is proven by the effect of the grassroots on the Ron Paul 2008 campaign, and can be amplified by proper training. We have created Meetup groups across the nation, and now is the time to unite as a movement and really cause a stir.

Those who were in Minneapolis for the "Real Politics" training session learned, not how to organize, but how to sell themselves to politicians and voters. This sort of information is important both in sales, where one promotes a product, and in politics, where one promotes a candidate or an idea. However, there is much more that can be done. Instead of only becoming a precinct captain in either the Campaign For Liberty or in the Republican Party, grassroots volunteers must learn how to read and understand legislature, learn how to organize and network, develop relationships with their representatives, and they must have the necessary tools to accomplish this. the Take Back Kentucky legislative training sessions, [specific to TN] can do just that. After attending the training, volunteers will be better prepared to affect change in their state and will have the tools to do so.

These training sessions have been held all over the country and have given grassroots supporters the ability to "take back" their state. Unfortunately many of the volunteers have grown apathetic, moved on to other ventures, and some have given up on the idea that they can change their state for the better. Well it just isn't so, but the apathy is due largely to the lack of membership and volunteers in the movement.

Thanks to Ron Paul, we now have the remedy for this problem. The Ron Paul presidential campaign has opened the eyes of hundreds of thousands of people and has motivated many of those people to become involved politically. As a grassroots movement we have held rallies and events, raised almost $30 million, garnered the votes of over 1.3 million people, and spread the message of freedom across the country and the world. Now we have the manpower and the knowledge to create a strong, united movement in each of our respective states. We can take what was started in TN by the Ron Paul campaign and turn it into a political powerhouse. The best part is that this method is completely compatible with the CFL and any other organizations in which you may be involved. It will not be a new organization but a coalition of existing organizations, therefore members of the Libertarian Party would be working alongside members of gun rights groups, John Birchers, Freedom Force Internation
al members, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and any other organizations or individuals who are liberty-minded and ready for action.

If you attend this training session you will learn about:

-Tools like phone circles, judicial accountability, legislative research, informational packets, 40 person call sheets and more.
-How to read and understand legislation, including how to pick out key buzzwords, how to change (amend) the legislation, and how to get those changes passed in the State Legislature.
-How to fight back against judges who abuse their power.
-How to market your meetings and grow your organization, turning it into a mass-movement across Tennessee.
