Is your family GOP? Democrats? Libertarians? Greens? Liberal? Conservative? neocon? Socialists? lol

My family is Democratic. My grandparent's are lifetime dems, they say "dems are for the old and gop are for the rich...or young" my uncle told me that he's a liberal.

and me... I'm a Libertarian!

What about your family?

Most of my family aren't really into politics though.

My family's from Hicksville, way Upstate NY. They're Republicans like our parents, and our parents' parents. And all their children are Republicans and always will be. And all the people in that small town and all the neighboring small towns are Republicans. It doesn't matter who the Republican is -- it could be Dracula -- they will vote for him/her because my family and most people in Hicksville are ignorant, rigid, narrow-minded, small-minded, and there is no tolerance for anyone who is different, who is a free-thinker.

That's why I left that region after college.

Republicans for the most part, but some have bought into the neocon "kill all camel-jockeys" death and perpetual war mantra.

I try to bring them around slowly and one at a time.

Several have been converted.;)

My parents have always been "Reagan Republicans." Since I started following RP I have slowly gotten them to see the light so to speak.

But basically one side is R one side is D.

Boo f*cking hoo. The GOP is for the young? What a bunch of parasites who have no sense of self responsibility and instead think the gov't needs to give them anything. If they need money, they should've saved it up for retirement. And at least the GOP claims to want to lower taxes to help make that more possible.

What a disgrace. Fortunately you don't take after them :).

My family is politically apathetic, with conservative leanings. I'm pretty much somewhere between a paleoconservative, libertarian, and monarchist (though I hate using labels because it's usually ego-centric to do so), and my brother is somewhat of a ex-libertarian libertarian.

My parents are passionately political but not partisan in the least. They used to be pretty straight-up Democratic (even though, if I remember correctly, they both voted for Perot in 1992!) My mom has become increasingly disillusioned with the Dems in recent years because of her tough stance on illegal immigration, as have my dad and I. Lately, their awareness of secret agendas/organizations like the CFR, NAU, etc. has been sparked, due in no small part to Aaron Russo (rest in peace!).

JLT, your grandparents have been fed and absorbed the propaganda.

My Uncle (70 and Democrat) emailed me and said that a Republican is someone who makes a certain amount a year or more. I wrote him back and said, then how am I a Republican? The older generation in general has been fed propaganda so long they don't know any different. He says all sorts of crazy stuff, and when I wrote him about the NAU and NAFTA, he writes and says wasn't it Bush and the Republican Congress that started that, etc. I wrote back and said......Clinton signed the NAFTA crap in 1993.

Immediate family....Republican. Dad....serious Fox News war drumbing turn the Middle East into a big piece of glass zombie. For some reason, he likes living in the book 1984. Can't peal him away from the status quo.

My ex gf's family are very Republican and I could not stand them lol but, yes, I was a socialist back then, so that's a fairly obvious assertion. They loved Bush and they were saying things like "people are lazy" and it made me angry, so I wouldn't ever want to talk to them again. I think the system sucks, not that people are just lazy. We need less government, that's what will solve the problem. You know, I wasn't ever the liberal type of socialist, I used to advocate the government just nationalizing everything lol I thought that a mixture of utilitarianism, socialism, and the freedom to do what you want would have created a good society. I have since changed my opinions as you can see lol
