The channel has about 240,000 subscribers.

Apparently, they've gotten "hundreds or thousands" of e-mails about it.

Around 1:30 into the video, it cuts to a series they've been doing about picking up girls. :o

"Popular" is a relative thing. I've learned to be rather unconcerned about the "Zitgust" -- yes it is "popular" but only with a narrow subset of people -- after all, YouTube's "Fred" is significantly (actually, exponentially as in an entire order of magnitude PLUS) more popular:

And that's a 14/15 year old kid just goofing around in his basement. (And however banal and sophomoric, you gotta admit the kid has an innate talent for writing and then executing his own little comedy routines. Some parts are hilarious.)

When people here promote this movie it makes me sick to my stomach....it's the complete opposite of our message of freedom and liberty. I just don't get it.

I thought the first film was well done considering it was done by one person on a laptop. I have some disagreements with it but I still found it entertaining for what it was.

The first one wasnt bad, it opened my eyes to the crimes of the federal reserve. The second one promotes some socialist bullshit utopian dream.

Agreed.

But, like it or not, there is a small segment of people who just LURVE their ZitGust -- yeah they're wacky, no they don't have a clue about the BS they've swallowed and that they are being spoon-fed socialism, and yes at the base they have a hatred of "religions" that drives them.

But on more interesting (and more POPULAR) videos... did you catch FRED when he was running for Kindergarten class president?

After the election actually happened, he even mentions Ron Paul (at around the 1:30+ mark).

I applaud Zeitgeist's diagnosis of the problems but not it's cure. Actually I don't think their vision is bad in the very very long term (think Star Trek) - but that can only happen when wealth and resources have become so abundant that people can (voluntarily) work for society in such a fashion. But only capitalism will allow the wealth to be built up to the point of a super abundance, and joining the "Zeitgeist socialist paradise" should be strictly voluntary (think hippie communes). If the Venus Project is serious, they should make it happen on a small scale. Otherwise, they should stay out of our way.
Bottom line is the movie was interesting. I think some of Michael Moore's movies are interesting as well but I certainly don't agree with his solutions.

Zeitgeist Addendum = marxist Utopian bullshit.

This is going to do more DAMAGE than good. Unbelievably remarkable that a Ron Paul supporter falls for the bs.

Someone needs to educate themselves on Austrian Economics... then all becomes crystal clear. Addendum is a joke.

I haven't seen Addendum yet, but from the sounds of it i'm not gonna like it.

I might watch it just to criticize it. I did enjoy the first one, and it did open my eyes a bit.

Socialism is something that truly irks me the wrong way, so i doubt i'll enjoy addendum from what you guys are saying.

Zeitgeist is a bit on the extreme side, but then so is Alex Jones. But despite its extremeness you have to admit it has helped tons to wake a lot of people up to is.

If the revolution ends up violent the people woken up by Alex's movie are more likely to fight then sit and watch it happen.

In addition Ron Paul has been on his show a few times and yes even RP was agreeing with Alex on the topic.

Although most of zeitgeist is happening and is heading our way - Alex Jones presentation for it is a little on the extreme side yes, and no I don't subscribe to the deep paranoia that the video presents. However the overall meaning behind the video I believe is true - but that video is Alex's perspective.

Perhaps if other perspectives were shared... who knows.

Once again, there are links to both Zeitgeists, in the channel's "Favorites" section.

It's like a Ron Paul article on the Digg front page right next to a HuffPo.
