Considering one of the advocates board members, Carole Ann Rand, ran against Barr to help kick him out of his House seat in the first place I'd say it's not too likely that Barr was high on their list of candidates. I'd congecture that they supported Ruwart in the primary run, as most true Libertarians did.

thanks for the info , i was curious:)
i am so saddened by the LP , i do not think they realize in there drive to get more votes , they alienated their own members and activists by nominating this joke of the LP ,barr. If they had wanted more votes Ruwart would of been the correct choice, but somehow we allowed the gop/scum liars to work there way into the LP.

I watched the LP Convention on TV and at the end when they nominated barr. I was thinking to myself now the LP screwed themselves.
All i hear from the LP now is excuses and reasons and BS like that. The bottom line is The LP spent their lifetime building the party and then spent 3 days destroying everything they just spent a lifetime building..

Harry Browne would be rolling in his grave over this barr crap!!!!

i actually left the lp ,to help the ron paul revolution in the gop. now i feel like i cannot go back to the lp for their own decision of barr. Voter with no party. the gop is pretty much hopeless in my eyes maybe something will change that, but to me the lp/gop are now hopeless, sigh:( when i hear lp leaders say root/barr was a good thing .I am thinking i guess jumping off a cliff is good when you look at the gop /lp leadership..

we must learn from this gop scum. Hell they took the gop and lp over in one election?:( maybe we need to follow their lead?:) so far the gop makes for good liars.

If only we could be as good liars as the gop leadership then we could possibly take over the scum party aka gop..

Looks like they forgot about Penn Jillette.

If celebrities cared about their bank accounts then it should be a no-brainer to be libertarians. It's more expensive to remain a Republican or Democrat. Libertarians are the biggest tax cutters.

Economist John Lott's blog has a link to a Fox Story. Apparently Breitbart is launching a new site on Jan 6th, featuring celebrity conservatives.

Sorry but I try not to link to Fox. This is as close as they'll get.

Carey is a big advocate of libertarianism and hosts reason.tv's "Drew Carey Project" (http://reason.tv/featuredvids/).

The Drew Carey Show had a lot of libertarian themed shows. Like when someone in his house got busted for drugs and the government took his house. Or when a bald eagle nested on his house and was terrorizing him but he couldn't do anything about it because it was a protected animal. He'd even wear some libertarian t-shirts on the show, or have pictures in the background.

I saw him on Price is Right though and although I'm a fan of his I wasn't very impressed. I guess I'm just used to him being a comedian.
