In the days of slavery, slaves deliberately worked as little as possible behind the master's back. Through this way, the economy of the South was weakened. With a weak economy, the South could no longer afford to defend slavery.

One should not stop working. However, one should stop paying taxes when not being oppressed by the IRS. One should drive the desired speed, when no police are around. All actions should be taken that benefit the individual and do not oppress others.

However, one should not go out of there way to act "civilly disobedient". The goal is not to damage the state. Yet the goal is to gain freedom. Once the state allows people to opt-out, freedom will be accomplished. Allow others to be in the state as they please.

Abolition of the state is unnecessary. Recognition is all that is needed. Just as the enslaved peoples demanded to be recognized as people not property. I demand to be recognized as a sovereign not a subject.

Producing things and not making a taxable profit off of it is another method.

ahhh yes. mutualism.

One of Stossel's videos points out that in the early 1900s people could afford health care through mutualistic insurance policies.
