Anyone notice that the US is now actually using the Ron Paul strategy in a limited way in Iraq?

We keep hearing other politicians and talking heads on tv talking about how the surge is "working" because attacks are down. Of course this connection is nonsense. Coincidence does not prove cause and effect.

What is working is Ron Paul's strategy: leave them alone. The reason that attacks are down n Iraq is due to the fact that we have turned some of the most troublesome spots back over to the Iraqi's. (The most attack prone Sunni areas).

If this was a test, it would be proving Ron's strategy will work: get out, leave them alone, less violence, no need for US troops and US taxpayer's money.

It would be nice if Dr. Paul got some credit here for his position...the only thing that has worked in Iraq is what he has advocated from day one.

8 years from now, Sean Hannity will talk about how great non-intervention is, and how we where able to do it because the surge allowed us to turn over the government to the people and get our hands out of it.

By this time Hillary will be up to her eyeballs in the Iran war, and Sean will be saying "We should have never gone in. How many people do you want to lose to save face? Shes sending them there to die for a lost cause. If she supported the troops, she would bring them home. We need to just come home. Our national security is not at risk"

So true. And sickening. Support the troops... oops I mean PARTY!

No doubt, they'll take credit for anything. Even worse, they take credit for NOTHING. There haven't been any major terrorist attacks in the US since 9/11, and the Bush administration takes credit, but that proves nothing! What is absolutely true, beyond a doubt, is that after a suicide attack, those individuals will never attack again!
