View Full Version : Republic Magazine -- Has anyone read it? Is it handout-worthy?

www.republicmagazine.com

It's a new magazine, and their second issue has a cover story on Ron Paul. They are offering "activist prices" on bulk orders (100 copies / $100 ). It seems like it would be a nice thing to hand someone -- A person's less likely to throw away a magazine than a SlimJim.

BUT....

Has anyone read it?
Is it too fringe-like?
Is the writing, reporting, and research of a professional caliber?

I'd like to buy some copies, but the last thing I want to do is start handing out some shady magazine.

The magazine has not been granted approval from the purity of thought committee and has been declared anathema.

It appears to be a truther magazine. Use your own judgment.

I just wish I could peek inside without buying the thing :)

I've read it, and personally I wouldn't hand it out when campaigning for Ron Paul. Well, maybe at a rock concert or something like that, but I sure wouldn't leave it in the dentist's waiting room like the publishers suggested to me in Pittsburgh. I guess it depends on the audience you're targeting.

It's up to you, of course. Maybe order one copy for yourself and see what you think.

I bet the magazine would be popular here in Idaho. :)

I didn't realize you are from Idaho - I'm originally from Idaho and consider Boise my "home" ... small world!

Pardon me for resurrecting a dead thread, but I read the article (it's on the website) and it's pretty in depth and straight forward if not even a little biased in favor of Ron Paul.

I'm surprised more of you guys didn't go absolutely apoplectic with joy over it.

There's also an article by Michael Badnarik.

What are the topics of the rest of the articles?

Yeah, I got a chance to read this issue in print the other day. It's much less 9/11-oriented than the premier edition.

Dude, I subscribed to "Republic" nearly 8 weeks ago and still haven't gotten my first copy yet. I'm DYING to see this thing!!!

Then again, like I said in another thread, I've had a string of bad luck with political magazines.

It has a truther article written by Dylan Avery the Loose Change producer

I wouldn't give this to the average person to learn about Ron Paul. It is the equivalent of having a Ron Paul sticker next to a 9/11 was an inside job sticker.

If Paul was on the cover of Reason, which is a respected libertarian mag. I would totally give that to people.
