TIME magazine asked Ron Paul his thoughts on who should be Time's annual Person of the Year.

Here's Congressman Paul's pick, as printed in TIME:

"Amid a horrific financial crisis, all we hear are calls for more of the money- printing, spending and subsidies that created this mess. So I choose my great teacher, Ludwig von Mises, champion of the Austrian School of economics, who taught us how a central bank like the Fed causes booms and busts and how to build prosperity through sound money and economic freedom."

But he's dead.
They picked "You. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_(Time_Person_of_the_Year))" in 2006. Why can't they pick someone who is dead?

It's hard to be man of a year in which you weren't even alive.

Well it's also hard to be man of the year if you are a sold out scum owned by the bilderberg group.

Or so i thought.

They picked "You. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_%28Time_Person_of_the_Year%29)" in 2006. That felt like a lame cop-out to me.
