I have been waiting for her to finally step out into the political arena. Since I was young I always thought she would be the first female POTUS !

Just what we DO NOT need... yet ANOTHER member of a political dynasty family.

Personally, I think we need a Constitutional Amendment that says once a family member is elected to (or serves as) President, Vice President or member of the Senate -- absolutely NO 1st degree relatives nor descendants of that family for the next say 4 generations should be allowed to hold any of those offices.

We're a nation of 300 million people for crying out loud... surely these people can do something else for a living... and we can certainly find other people to fill those limited roles.

With the exception of John Quincy Adams, every time we've had one of these "dynasty" politicos get into office, they have F'd things up even worse than their predecessors... Think F.D. Roosevelt, Ted Kennedy, and of course, GWB.

Enough already.

She really has no political experience. Just stories of what her Dad and uncles did. She's good at fund raising for charities, though.

It's amazing how humans relate to name brands, ie."Kennedy", the theory of first impressions make lasting impressions rings true. Most people just skip right over Ted and go to John F. I don't know much about Caroline but if she was so successful in improving public schools in NYC and making a difference why would she want a job in the senate? Does she need some new friends?

because she had a famous name?

Sad that she doesn't seem to have done much to prepare herself for politics, and now wants to be Senator of a major state. I think I have as much qualifications to be Senator of Iowa as she does to be Senator of NY.

I didn't think it was possible... but they have managed to find someone even LESS qualified than Sarah Palin.

What's next Chelsea Clinton?

Jenna and Barbara Bush? (They could BOTH serve in one office, swapping it back and forth every 6 months, that way they could get 1/2 a year off each like their daddy did.)

Sickening!

So run why don't you.

I think Caroline Kennedy is qualified to run for the Senate.

I want to tell a short story about growing up around a certain business:

My dad sold cars when I was young he would take me to the lot with him some times.

Years later I got a job at a used car lot. I had never done this kind of work before but, I was really good at it. In less than a month I became the top producer surpassing even the experienced ones who were selling wholesale. My boss loved me and gave me raises and bonuses.

I feel I was good at it because I was around the business all the time. My dad's brothers all also sold cars and I heard them talking about it all the time.

I quit the job although I was making money hand over fist because The owner did not want me to be too honest about the cars. I did not like selling crummy cars for too much money.

I feel that Caroline having grown up in the political arena gives her an amazing advantage over other candidates.

here are some things I found out about her:

Caroline Kennedy is a graduate of Columbia Law School, she has been deeply involved with and committed to public education in New York City, raising millions of dollars for the city's public schools, she has co-authored two outstanding and readable books on the Bill of Rights and the Right to Privacy,

Ah, but that's the key... she would NOT be "running" for the office... she wants to be "appointed" to it.

Sort of "slip-in" through the back-door.

And she may have "experience" with political ideas -- and even an agenda. But if she is anything like the rest of her family (esp Teddy) then she certainly isn't a "Liberty" person at all.

So why again would you be backing her? Don't we have enough socialists/statists in office?

When you look at the rest of NY congress critters, she seems like a HUGE improvement. That said, does that make her qualified to be a senator?? Not in my book, of course we all know how much that matters...:)

Maybe I should mention that I shook hands once with her uncle, Robert.

he didn't have the connections? He was pretty much shoved at the American public as the annointed one.

I saw her on the tv this morning.

She is a mouth-breather, which, to me, is a sign of a lack of intelligence.

I don't know much about Caroline, but the Kennedy that starts speaking at 35 minutes into this video should be in politics, imo.

Sara Palin actually made it into office on her own.

Well Actually yes. Chelsea Clinton.

Bill Clinton said he would back his wife Hillary if she became secretary of state but has even bigger political hopes for their daughter Chelsea

Watch out for George P. Bush

He's young, good looking, and Hispanic - could he be the next George Bush in the White House?

If she will talk up her dad's executive order 11110 it could be good. Or abolishing the CIA like her dad had in mind.

She should campaign on these two issues only. That would stir up some shit while spreading the message.

Kennedy/Paul 2012!

Right, that's just what we need. A guy who screams fascist and Holocaust denier at anyone who even wants to have a discussion about the scientific doubts of man-made global warming.

He's a complete Enviro-Fascist.

I have no problem with her lack of experience but its how she will be on the issues:
1) Kennedy's are rabidly pro-Israel,(which is why Bobby was assassinated) and Caroline even has a Jewish husband
2) Kennedy's support slavery
a. Kathleen pushed slavery for HS students when she was Lt. Gov of MD, she is gone but the slavery legacy remain
b. Bobby and Ted pushed LBJ to end grad student exemptions in 1968, and Ted fought Nixon on the volunteer army

there are far better choices Patterson could but won't make such as John Stossel or Jim Ostrowski
