It's just public response to cops killing people. And cops responding to the response. I wouldn't call it rioting, though they you do year someone apparently throw a bottle and glass breaking. But no riot gear, etc. Seems pretty calm.

But 'rioting' makes a better after hours headline I guess.

I think it was just a showing for a solid propensity to riot if need be.
Kinda like, you see us breaking these 40s and look at that dumpster we set on fire while the police say yeah thats cool I guess, just don't break anything good and go home when you get tired please.

That wasn't the point. The point was that our military troops were stationed near by ready to get it on. The even was contrived, and they were attempting to provoke a riot.

Obviously the individual cops didn't want to see a riot, and seeing that it did not escalate, I would agree that the cops didn't do anything wrong. Who knows what happened with the whole suburban incident.. that we'll never know.
