Great interview.

Surprisingly Sean got behind Mark a lot and asked optimistically about a presidential run.

Mark Sanford is the link between us and them. If we want a guy who can appeal to mainstreamers, but still be OK for us... it's probably him.

Did he mention his proposal to eliminate corporate taxes, and reduce income tax from ~7% to a flat 3.7% in SC??

From around 7% to 3.5%? big deal. I mean--its great that he cut taxes, but that is pretty wimpy, even Bobby Jindal can beat that.

He signed legislation that ENDED our income tax in LA.

That's not a good sign, actually.

This is exactly the opposite of what the country was founded on. The corporate taxes (income) should be increased, while the income taxes on individuals (money bartered for labor thus not income) should be eliminated. This is NOT a difficult concept here.

Ideally, both those taxes would be eliminated. Taxing corporations hurts the economy, sends them overseas, and throws people out of work. Wealth cycles. Every dollar taken out of the economy makes the whole economy poorer and every dollar left in makes the whole economy richer.

Have Ron Paul in the debates. That way, with Sanford and Paul on stage, they can both support a rational foreign policy up there. Just as important, other candidates will get some pressure to fight stupid fp and at the conventions we can get more mainstream support.

We don't even need Ron Paul to run again; we just need a probe that lets him in long enough to be in the first and second debates.
