Gambling laws are incredibly offensive. The least the gov't could do is to follow their own damned "principles" and stop selling lottery tickets.

Yeah, they make all these laws to raise revenue, but I guess some things are off limits.

I wonder what Gov. Paterson thinks of internet gambling. He sure isn't against taxing music downloads.

Tell you what, they could make a lot more than $300 million if they legalized online gambling and somehow taxed it.

This guy sold out by pleading guilty. I have a lot more respect for guys like Calvin Ayre (Bodog founder) who thumb their noses at the U.S. government.

Why replace the income tax with a carbon tax?

Well, I don't know the answer to that; you'll have to ask BJ Lawson.

I would prefer they didn't tax it.

But I think it would be an improvement over being illegal.
