I'm going to put it up for auction at SitePoint.com's Market Place.

http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/

Wanted to see if anybody here wants to make an offer on it first.

I can't keep it updated anymore. I would like to concentrate more on RPF/LF as well as on my real estate work.

The site has not really been promoted anywhere except for on these forums so maybe someone else out there will be more successful with it. I'm about 90% of the users on there with lots of different personalities. I think with more time and the right exposure it could be a real hit.

The code is completely custom, I paid $1000 two years back to my programmer. I've added a few things onto it over time.

Any specific questions feel free to ask. PM or post.

Sitepoint is the way to go if you want to unload sites... More buyers with money there than here. Have you thought of bins already or are you just going with the "make me an offer"?

Never know who is lurking here. :) Plus people know me here and most know about VOTEmotion.

What are bins? I haven't made the listing yet.

Ahh I figured it out. Buy it now.

I set it at $5000 on SitePoint.com, I doubt I will get anywhere near that.

Go bid if you're interested!

I've put in over $1400 into the development of the site.

What real estate work do you do? My alternative currency project I'm working on is very much related to real estate, specifically land.

Awesome, I will have to remember that.

We really need some kind of "What do you do?" section on RPF. So many resources of information and the only thing we all really know about each other is that we support Ron Paul.

Profiles are searchable. It could use a little work, but has a number of fields to choose from.

I'll be able to put more time in RPF/LF with VOTEmotion gone. I was devoting anywhere from 6 to 14 hours a day submitting/voting/commenting. :o

Good call on that Josh.

The extra time and extra income will be well spent developing and promoting RPF/LF.

You shouldn't have, the idea is great and might catch on later with the folks. Since you already invested couple of thousands, I'd recommend you shouldn't sell it hastily. Wait for a few months get some extra bucks and do a ad/facelift campaign, get cheap (outsourced) spammers etc. and than sell it. I always believed the site needed a redesign to a modern theme.. new web2.0 smilies etc.
