We will have a booth and all... Also! The Friday reception is where Dr. Paul will be speaking! (Extra incentive!)

So far we have him and Tom Woods speaking (looking at Michael Shear, Napalitano, and some others - if we can get them) at this reception. There is also an afterparty.... for C4L at a local bar.

Volunteers get intoboth for free! We rented out 2 rooms for this!

Speaking of the CPAC, Bob Barr gave an amazing intro to Ron Paul last year. You gotta admit it, even if you hate him. =p

Hello Everyone!
I am very excited that we have so many people from all over the US volunteering for Campaign for Liberty at CPAC 2009 (www.cpac.org (http://www.cpac.org/)).

If you are reading this, then you expressed interest in being one of these volunteers. Here is some general information regarding C4L's events at the conference.

Tentative Schedule
Wed 2/25--- (you don't have to be here for this) Volunteers will help place C4L material in CPAC bags.
Thur 2/26 -- 8:00 am Short orientation for volunteers
Thur 2/26 All Day -- Literature distribution and working the booth at CPAC
Fri 2/27 All Day -- Literature distribution and working the booth at CPAC
Fri 2/27 5:30pm-6:45pm- C4L Donor Reception (Details to follow)
Fri 2/27 7:00 to 9:00-- Friday night reception w/speakers
Fri 2/27 YAL After party! (details to follow)

Volunteers will be working in groups for 2-3 hours shifts. I will be making teams after January 15th. As a result, it is important that you confirm your attendance with me before that date.

T-shirts will be given to all volunteers so it is important that I know what size you would like.

Travel Plans
Please let me know the following,

1) What is your current status of attending? Confirmed, Tentative, Interested.
2) How do you plan on traveling to DC?

I am speaking with contacts from your state (they should have or will be getting in touch with you personally) about your travel plans.

If you are interested in Carpooling please let your state contacts know. My goal is to get everybody who wants to carpool, in touch with each other.

Accommodations
You will be responsible for your own accommodations. You can stay in the Omni Shoreham hotel where the conference is located or find another nearby hotel.

C4L has made arrangements with the Leadership Institute for supporters to stay in their dormitories located in Arlington, Virginia for only $25.00 per night.

There are only 30 spots currently open at LI and they are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please see the attached document for more information about this offer. If you do make arrangements to stay at the Leadership Institute then let me know so we can keep a record of that.

For those who cannot afford a hotel room, we are currently seeking supporters in the area who can lend space at their homes. Please let me know ASAP, if you are interested in staying at a supporters home or allowing people to stay at yours.

Training
Are you interested in attending one of the Leadership Institute's classes at CPAC? If so which one? These classes will be put on at CPAC so no travel is required to attend and they are FREE.

Here is the schedule:
TV Training = Thursday, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Public Speaking Workshop = Thursday, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Internet Activist Training = Friday, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
Grassroots Fundraising Workshop = Friday, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm

If you need anything or have any questions contact your state contact or me, Allison Gibbs at HQ @ (703) 347-6886 or email me at allison@campaignforliberty.com

I hope each of you can make it.
Thank you!

George W. Bush, John McCain and Ron Paul all in the same room?! Man, I wish I wasn't in the other Washington.

Also, $25/night hotel? I'm pretty sure that's impossible. How did you manage to find that?

What's strange is that McCain is on that list of speakers. He wasn't originally invited back when they made their first list.

Leadership Institute in Arlington has dorms in the basement. I have stayed there while attending classes. Bunk beds in big rooms, not bad...

I'll be at CPAC, but YAL asked first... :D

What speakers are they trying to bring in?

I'd like to suggest George Farah, founder of Opendebates.

Bush and McCain were at CPAC 2008... they haven't put up the agenda for 2009 yet... I fell for that too... Make sure you are looking at 2009...they aren't putting it up til Feb.

I will be volunteering... not staying in DC tho... gonna be commuting since I have kids at home... kind of a bummer, but well worth the hour trip each way.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!
