Usually someone who wants individual freedom for THEM SELF, AND economic dictatorship and central planning for everyone else, AKA hypocrite.

Nah, just another STATIST, as ARE the FASCISTS also, BTW. :p  You can almost ALWAYS tell the STATISTS, by their blatant dishonesty, but you can't tell them much. :p When they haven't got the facts, they usually just manage to fantasize or fabricate up some bogus CRAP or other nonsense BS.

According to political compass I am libertarian left, and I would have to agree with them.

I believe that there are certain places where we do need more government rules. One obvious area is in corporations. The government shouldn't RUN things however, they should just restrict the charters of corporations much more than they are. I don't really believe in government running many things. I only think that they should restrict groups from taking advantage of the citizens who empower the government.
I think everyone on here believes there should be no government control of currency.

What's to keep the government from profiting from setting "business" policies that aggrandize itself?

I am talking in means of writing a new constitution. I have talked this over with about 20 people from my old meetup and a few of them followed my logic to get to what I mean.

I. There IS a big problem with government. Some will say, "there's always problems with government because humans are involved." That is true but, even with the human factor, this government is not the height of our goals as a civilization.
II. The founding fathers did a pretty good job writing out the small role of government as a means to protect the people from possible tyranny. However, America's style of government was only an experiment...the first attempt at something like this. That means that they probably couldn't forsee every problem that would come against the constitution. This has become more apparent with the technological revolution. They did allow for the politicians to change the rules set, but for two hundred and twenty years the politicians have been working for their own gain and against our will.

With these two premises in mind, I propose that we rewrite the constitution. This is blasphemy to most Libertarians, because many hold the constitution up as the holy grail of law. They believe that it is stripping us of what we were given through the blood of the revolutionaries. That is not true! The new constitution should keep the provisions of the old constitution, only rewritten with what the founders really meant. What is the point of this, you might ask. Right now we have no bill of rights. The heart of the constitution was ripped out. There is no historical precident for a "free" society like ours regaining this many freedoms without revolutionary acts. With rewriting our constitution, we could record what EXACTLY is meant by the things that we write, and our reasoning behind it. We could also restrict some of the things that allow gross abuses of our rights.

Our country is not ready for this yet. It will take the economy being in very (visible to everyone) poor shape economically. When that time comes, we should propose and hold the Third Continental Congress.

Some did foresee the problems. That's why the Federalists scammed everyone into accepting their constitution. ;)
