Agreed. Liberals are politically screwed up. They have no knowledge of history or economics.

Well, I have known some liberals who have very good knowledge of basic historical facts. It's their interpretation that's screwy--very, very black and white (no grey). The average liberal in academia and amongst the masses sees things as polar opposites. In their view of history, everything business, the United States, and Western culture has ever done is mostly or entirely evil. They worship or at least sympathize with the "other" opposed to these things. This is why they come to prefer monstrous communist regimes. Those governments are opposed to the US and often the whole Western world.

The liberal will selectively bemoan the atrocities of some countries or cultures, and applaud those of others. For instance, they will remain silent or even justify the destruction of Russian religion and culture committed by the Soviets, but then whine endlessly about what Europeans and early Americans did to the Indians. It would never cross the liberal mind to seriously study each of these scenarios, evaluate their causes and ethical problems, and draw real conclusions of historical merit. The lefty can only see good and evil based on how their ideologues tell them to see it.
