I'm sure this really doesn't surprise anybody at this point. Besides all the people that voted for him. They'll just claim the Ambassador lies and everybody who believes him is racist because we just don't want Obama to be the president. They'll claim it will set black people back 50 years. If you didn't want that to happen, maybe you should have chosen somebody that was actually be eligible to be president. It's nobody's fault but Obama's and the DNC.

No he didn't, he said Barak Obama SENIOR was.

When they asked the question, they called him "President Elect Barak Obama" and his birthplace being a visitor site with a monument. They later asked about his father, whom the Ambassador calls Barak Obama Senior, to see if they had the same name.

and he said "Barak Senior" listen again. The callers sound like they TRYING to confuse the guy who isn't an English speaker.

In Kenya is Barack Obama a pretty common name, kinda like John Smith is here? ;) :)

Hmmm.. I don't recall them mentioning Barak Sr. during that part of the interview. I guess I'll have to listen again later.

But, good heavens, what makes you think that the Kenyan ambassador to the U.S. is not an english speaker??? I agree english may not have been his first language..

And that sure as heck wouldn't be in reference to Obama Senior.

His mother was a US citizen, so he is a natural born US citizen. It doesn't matter where he was born. The constitution makes no issue of dual citizenship in regards to the presidency.

Seriously, can we attack Obama on his (many) REAL faults, rather than attacking him because of where he may or may not have been born?

I'd prefer to have the courts weigh in and make a reasonable judgment. So far they haven't been willing to even hear the case.

Yes it does matter where he was born. His mother cannot automatically give her children citizenship if she does not meet the current legal requirements for doing so at the time of birth of her children. The requirement at the time was that she be a US citizen, who lived at least 10 years in the USA - she met both those requirements, and lived at least 5 years in the USA starting from 14 years of age. She didn't meet that last requirement. She was only 18 when she had Obama. So for Obama to be a natural born citizen he would have to be born in the USA. It appears he wasn't.

"If a child is born in the United States—as Hawaiian officials state that Obama was—that child is a U.S. citizen regardless of his or her parents' nationalities. If born to an American parent outside the U.S., the law at the time [of Obama's birth] would require the U.S. citizen parent to be at least 19, which Obama's mother was not. The provisions of this law were subsequently loosened and made retroactive for government employees serving abroad and their families. It appears that this would not apply to Obama's mother."

But the issue isn't citizenship by itself. It is an issue of meeting the "natural born" citizenship requirement. Just being a citizen isn't enough. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a citizen, but he can't run for president... although given the way the government is ignoring the constitution lately, maybe he can...

Why is the US Supreme Court refusing to verify this birth certificate given up by Hawaii?

And regardless of Obama's actual status, we still don't know WHO could bring an action in which court to challenge the citizenship status.

Obama is above the law and the Constitution sadly will not be enforced against him even if he was born in Kenya.

Barr wasn't able to kick him out of the Texas ballot after Obama missed the filing deadline so what makes anyone here think that a court is going to prevent him from getting into the White House?

Exactly - hell, even if they found out he was not an american - I am pretty sure since he already won the election - they will just give it to him anyway.

Regardless of his citizenship he will have the office.

I would NOT use this youtube as a link proving that Obama was born in Kenya. This clip is from Mike in the Morning on WRIF. I lived in the metro Detroit area for the first 28 years of my life and Mike is an assclown. The show used to be the Drew and Mike show and they were notorious for making all sorts of prank calls and having other people imitate voices.

Interesting, except that I have heard the Ambassador has since come out and is trying to backtrack his statements.

I don't know why the guy is so "infuriated". HE's the one who "mis-spoke"..

They're always angry when this sort of thing happens. I try to look for patterns, and this is one of them. Why didn't he just clear up his remarks instead of getting all huffy? In fact he never did clear them up..
