I need a short summary (approx. 100 words) of the Homegrown Terrorism and Radicalization Act. If anyone can help, that would be awesome!

The VRHTPA (Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act) is a potentially dangerous bill which has been delayed in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs for well over a year. The bill seeks to secure the nation from terrorism by criminalizing "Violent Radicalization" and "Homegrown Terrorism", neither of which are not adequately defined in the bill's current state. It is thus quite arguable that the bill is an Orwellian "Thought Crime Bill", a charge levied by Democrat Representative Dennis Kucinich [source (http://www.themaneater.com/stories/2007/12/7/facebook-group-protests-u-s-house-bill/)]. Republican Representative Ron Paul also intensely opposed this bill, claiming it is "an unwise and dangerous solution in search of a real problem" [source (http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2007/cr120507h.htm)]. Given that the bill was opposed only by six Representatives when brought to a vote in 2007, it is quite likely that the bill will pass in the Senate without further definition and clarification, posing a serious risk to citizens' civil liberties in the United States.
