He should have went to the hearing.

I don't think he realizes that when he gets on record in front of such a prominent panel, the panel itself may scoff, but listeners/watchers/investors ALL tune in much closer to hear what he has to say. Evidence of this is the cheering at the CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) everytime he's on to drill Bernanke.

To Congressman Paul's people: Whether he likes it or not, he moves the message forward when he talks at hearings that are being covered. He needs to be there.

Yeah, I liked Cavuto's opening question. I think Cavuto himself would have liked Paul to have been there too.

Well said Cowlesy. I don't like the negative attitude he has here. Even if he won't have a direct impact on the hearings, being there matters just to put across his ideas and get his views out to those in the public who may not have heard them. Not to mention it's his job as an elected representative, although I can't complain since I don't live in his district.

Yep, and the thing is when Rep. Paul speaks at these things, people do listen in because they're curious to hear what he has to say.

Oh well, hopefully his staff recognizes this and the next big group of dufuses who end up there, Rep. Paul interrogates (to the best he can).
