If we are a nation of the people, then the debt belongs to the people. Debt can't be a political interpretation depending on ones partisanship. Such wouldn't be a national debt but counterfeit placed on the people. In other words, debt isn't a political interpretation but a known quantity. In order for debt to be known, government must be responsible.
But government today is not responsible in that our national economy has been split into two parts. While one economy has been created for the people, one which is allowed to be eroded away by inflation, the other economy has been created for the Executive, the Judicial and Legislative branches of the U.S. government. This latter economy is adjusted for future inflation.
So, we need to pressure the Supreme Court to declare the nation's debt as counterfeit. It is counterfeited because no clear measure of it can be determined because of the tyrannical nature of partisan politics. Therefore, debt either has to be created responsibly by government or else it is counterfeited. The people of the United States should not be burdened with having to pay off irresponsible counterfeit.
