Is anybody tallying Ron Paul's nationwide write-in total? It appears like he has quiet a few.

I just checked with the California Secretary Of State, but the State totals aren't completed yet. I did see that my County, Orange, has completed the totals. I guess the "W" means Write-in.

Here they are:

JOHN MCCAIN / SARAH PALIN (REP) 579,064 50.2%
BARACK OBAMA / JOE BIDEN (DEM) 549,558 47.6%
BOB BARR / WAYNE A. ROOT (LIB) 7,867 0.7%
RALPH NADER / MATT GONZALEZ (P-F) 7,689 0.7%
ALAN KEYES / WILEY S. DRAKE, SR. (AI) 3,562 0.3%
RON PAUL (W) 3,118 0.3%
CYNTHIA MCKINNEY / ROSA CLEMENTE (GRN) 2,454 0.2%
CHUCK BALDWIN (W) 373 0.0%
JAMES HARRIS (W) 1 0.0%
FRANK MOORE (W) 1 0.0%

I don't think they were counting them in Texas- there was a list of 5-6 acceptable write-ins, I was told the others won't be counted. After nearly two years of full dedication I didn't care and wrote in Ron Paul anyway, so add one to the total. :)

Yep, me too. I figured all the time and money I invested warranted a write in for Ron Paul...and I didn't get voter remorse either.:)

Surprised to see Alan Keys top RP in conservative OC.

Just barely and only because Keyes was on the ballot and Paul wasn't.

In TN write-in votes basically are not counted unless the candidate submitted their information to every single county in the state before the election. Ron did not.

likewise in Rhode Island. I know at least 30 people in my circle who were for RP. Im hoping for 2012 so bad regardless of age. Ive enlightened so many to have a lackluster candidate this next election.
