why is our humble C.F.L not having a gravitas?
is a hint the visual, namely C4L looks sexier?

I like CFL, C4L bugs me to no end and I posted that last time this was posted. I don't like numbers in my acronyms.

I agree but this is what folks in my meetup started calling it so that's how I'm referring to it now. Plus CFL is already a lightbulb.

My only problem with CFL is that it is one letter off from CFR. :) Other than that, I agree with Nate, I don't like numbers in my acronyms.

CFL looks and sounds too damn much like CFR.

And from the way it is operated, one could be forgiven for wondering if it isn't a wholly pwned subsidiary (like the Peter G. Peterson foundation).

Like a lot of other people already said.. it does bother me how close it is to CFR. C4L isn't bad and I think it worth it considering the last thing we want someone mistaken us for would be the CFR. Plus I'd do it just to spite them. ;) Just my 2cents.

And by the way.. your poll makes no sense.

CFL makes me think of CFR, and no doubt I'm going to verbally mess up on that someday which will cost me a lot of trust.

i've yet to get or own a blackberry... i'm trying to learn or re-invent 'blackberry' as barack obama is told what a security breech his small humble personal blackberry now is!
