I think it's a vaporizer... So it heats up the tobacco until a reaction occurs with the water molecules and the tobacco, and you still get nicotine without all the smoke.

These were actually invented (I believe) by cannabis users, particularly medicinal users who did not want to inhale smoke. The vaporizers for cannabis heat up the material until it is vaporized, and you inhale the vapor. It tastes great, and it activates the THC and delivers it to your lungs without all the heat a smoke.

A Volcano vaporizer for cannabis is top of the line, and it runs about $400.

The machine fills that bag up with vapor, then you just suck it down.

These things on this website the OP linked to appear to be portable, and look like a cig.


My biggest issue with vaporizing cannabis is filtration. That's the main reason I don't use them. Even though you aren't inhaling smoke, sometimes you get bits of material flying around and you end up sucking those into your lungs. If they made a water filtered vaporizer, I'd be all over it. Until then, it's possible to use a water pipe and a heating device to vaporize as well. I haven't used the ones from that site, it could be that it's just not an issue.

I understand, but as far as an alternative to cigarettes, how would this work? It seems like there is something about "charges" or something on their website.

you could always use a small piece of cloth and wrap it around the mouth piece on the bag when you take your hit or hook the bag up to the downtube on a bong before takin it

I believe the vaporizer that I posted a link to, has a filter on it. You can search "extreme vaporizer" on youtube as well and the guy shows the filters and how to use it etc.

i stumbled across the electronic cigarette site a few weeks ago, the start up kit was about 50 dollars, i went through the forums for ecigs and the reviews and experiences with different brands were great

its a small nicotine pack that slips into an electronic chamber charged by AC or battery - several forum members said they had homemade USB charger systems for them as well...
they are tobacco free and smokeless so you could smoke them inside anywhere

I know this because I thought about using this method to kill my asshole boss. Luckily, he got fired before I decided to go through with it.

Just get about 200+ smoking buddies, go into the county courthouse, light up, smoke your cigarette and then leave. It'd take them longer than ten minutes to get enough coppers to arrest everyone :D
